Sunbeam takes a serious and proactive approach to environmental issues. We ensure that our Timber product suppliers have Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation or an alternative globally recognised forest management accreditation. This gives us confidence that our suppliers are promoting responsible and sustainable forest management, worldwide.
On a smaller scale, 2006 saw Sunbeam invest in a new clean burning wood waste and heating system for its premises. The new £100k system, installed in conjunction with the Carbon Trust, enables us to minimise our landfill waste by clean burning all combustible waste with near zero emissions whilst supplementing the heating of the premises and reducing our reliance on fossil fuel energy.
